You'll own the layer where Causa Prima meets the SAP systems our customers run their finance on. Most of the data we care about lives inside S/4HANA and ECC, and you'll be the person who decides how we read from and write to those systems safely, at scale, across very different customer landscapes. This is a senior individual contributor role with real architectural ownership: you'll set the patterns the rest of the team builds on, and you'll be the technical voice in the room when a customer's SAP team asks hard questions.

What you'll do

• Own the add-on: Architectural ownership of our ABAP add-on in its registered namespace: how it's structured, released, and kept upgrade-safe.

• Clean core and certification: Drive us toward clean core compliance and SAP certification, using released CDS and public APIs wherever they exist.

• SAP data and APIs: Design how financial data moves in and out of SAP (OData, BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs) at production volume.

• FI/CO domain leadership: Turn accounting reality into code: posting logic, payment terms and Skonto, open item management, account determination, tax codes.

• Set the engineering bar: Define the conventions and raise the standard for testability, ABAP Unit coverage, and static analysis (ATC, SCI).

• Data structuring across landscapes: Shape heterogeneous customer setups (charts of accounts, company codes, country versions, ECC versus S/4HANA) into one consistent model.

• Reliability and auditability: Build for idempotency, reconciliation, and traceability, so every action against a customer system is explainable after the fact.

• Customer-facing technical lead: Lead technical discovery and onboarding with finance teams, SAP admins, and customer Basis teams.

What we're looking for

• At least 6 years of hands-on ABAP development on S/4HANA and ECC (not configuration with some coding attached).

• ABAP you've shipped into someone else's production system, with the upgrade cycles, transports, and volume problems that follow.

• Deep AP knowledge: three-way match, Skonto postings, blocked invoices, open item clearing, vendor master, payment runs, duplicate detection.

• Strong modern ABAP: CDS views, OO ABAP, ABAP Unit, RAP, and an instinct for upgrade-safe, namespace-clean code.

• Fluency in how third-party systems integrate with S/4HANA and ECC (OData, RFC, IDoc), including where the two data models diverge.

• Judgment about scope and risk, and the ability to explain that call to engineers and executives alike.

• Curiosity beyond the SAP world, and energy for where enterprise systems and AI meet.

• Clear communication with both engineers and finance people, in English; Spanish or German is a strong plus.

• Using AI to leverage ADT services to speed up the development, deployment, testing and analysis while also applying your own expertise to prevent SLOP for entering our code base.AI will also be leveraged to create custom test programs and performance testing scenarios to ensure strong automated testing and code coverage. Nice to have

• Accounts receivable knowledge alongside the AP side: customer master, incoming payments and cash application, dunning, credit management, and what drives DSO. We build on both halves of the ledger, so the AR experience compounds quickly here.

• Experience taking an add-on through SAP certification (ICC), or working inside a registered namespace as a partner.

• You've played with SAP Joule, or at least followed it closely enough to have an opinion on where it helps and where it doesn't.

• SAP BTP exposure (extensions, the API layer, or GCP-hosted environments).

• Experience with AP automation, e-invoicing, or procure-to-pay workflows.

• Background in fintech, accounting tech, or a regulated environment.
