Job Description

As a Product Quality Engineer at Peer AI, you will own end-to-end quality for complex AI-driven workflows in the high-stakes $23B life sciences market. You will build automated systems spanning UI, APIs, and asynchronous processing, developing AI agents to navigate and validate long-running clinical document processes to accelerate life-saving medical discoveries.

Location

San Francisco, USA

Why this role is remarkable

  • Lead the transition to AI-native testing by building agents that navigate workflows, evaluate non-deterministic results, and simulate realistic medical writer behavior.
  • Join a high-growth company backed by $12.1M from top-tier investors like Flare Capital and SignalFire, operating in a massive $23B market.
  • Directly impact the speed of medical innovation by ensuring the reliability of platforms that help get treatments to patients faster through automated regulatory submissions.

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement end-to-end automated coverage across UI, APIs, and asynchronous workflows to ensure release-readiness for complex regulatory document systems.
  • Develop advanced AI-assisted testing strategies, including agents capable of exploring edge cases and flagging unexpected behavior in long-running clinical data processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and medical writing teams to create synthetic data and realistic test environments that mirror the highly regulated pharma landscape.

The ideal candidate

  • Possesses strong software engineering fundamentals with the ability to write production-grade code and debug distributed systems where failures cross multiple services.
  • Demonstrates hands-on experience building automated test suites for complex web applications and a deep instinct for what can and should be automated.
  • Brings a product-first mindset, capable of judging when a workflow feels correct for a user, ideally with experience in regulated software or LLM evaluation.
